Getting Ready for a Masquerade!

Here is what we have been working on the past few weeks.....We have a Masquerade party coming up. Raina's brother designed the invitations - don't they look great!!

The Manzanita branches are probably one of my favorite things...they look so cute.

Vases we will be putting candles in and using to line the stage and piano.

Here are the masks we will be using for the pew ends with some
fabric, pearls, and a peacock feather.

Large Vase we will use at the entrance table.

A close up of the vase and Raina showing you her wedding ring :)

Amanda's Masquerade

Amanda's Sweet Sixteen Masquerade Party was on Saturday. This party was a Christian based party and they had a purity ceremony at a church to present her with her purity ring and share what that meant. It was a very sweet ceremony. Below are some photos of the ceremony decorations. They had a dinner reception after at a different venue and everyone came dressed fancy with really fun masks.

Stage Decor

Vases with candles lining the steps and front of stage.

Manzanita Branches with feather mask, pearls, feathers, and crystals on each side of the stage.

The piano was one of our favorite things...Raina did a great job setting it up with
fabric, pearls, and tiered candles. It looked so good with the lights dimmed.

Happy Sweet 16th Amanda!

Liz's Mom's 60th Surprise Party...Lemon Lime Theme

A couple of weeks ago we had a Surprise Party for my Mom's 60th birthday. It was Lemon Lime theme with some hints of Raspberry. Raina was doing flowers for a wedding so I was on my own and missed my party partner in crime!!

The party was outside in a friends backyard. The morning of the party...we had a thunder and lightening show with rain to follow but fortunately it stopped raining in time to party but I didn't get all my paper decorations hung :(

Raina texted me and reminded me that it rained on the day of her mom's 60th birthday last year and let up right before lunch was served outside - kinda funny!

I made mason jar themed invitations and one of my favorite things were the different paper straws I purchased online.

I found yellow, green, and white stripped tissue paper to make the poms and also hung a few mason jars with lemons and limes in them. The chandelier was a new addition for the backyard and there were no candles for it yet so i just placed some lemons on it to add color.

Table Decor: White Table Cloths, Lime Green Table Runners, Various Vases fulled with Lemons and Limes and Pink Roses and White Hydrangea with Yellow and White Glass Beads scattered around. I also found the lemon lime napkins and the lemon lime hand sanitizer that I used for the favors at Target. Love me some Target!!

Lunch Menu:
Appetizers - Spinach Dip, Cheese Ball, Fruit Skewers, and super cute (well I think so) Veggie Cups with Dip at the bottom. Main Dish: Turkey and Cheddar Croissants, Ham and Provolone on King's Hawaiian Rolls, Potato Salad, Broccoli Salad, Chips, and Dip. Drinks: Water with Lemon and Cucumber Slices and Strawberry Lemonade with Lemon Slices and whole Strawberries served in mason jars with a paper straw.

Desserts:
Mini Brownies with a drop of cream cheese frosting and a fresh raspberries, Mini Cheesecakes with fresh strawberries, and Individual Peanut Butter and Chocolate Triffle Cups.

We used a little Sunkist cart that they had to hold the gifts.

Despite the unexpected rain in the morning,
we had a great time and my mom was very surprised!
