Kailee's 8th Grade Promotion Party

Raina's sister-in-law, Yoli, asked us to decorate a dessert party for her daughter Kailee for her 8th grade promotion. We went to work on a grey and maroon themed party to go with her school colors and added some black for contrast and Matt and Yoli hung twinkle lights in the trees for some ambiance and voila... a nice little outdoor party to celebrate!  Here are some photos of the party and the ice cream sundae bar and other yummy desserts. Congratulations Kailee!!!

5th Grade Promotion

My Husband has managed to blog 201 straight days!!! I find that to be dedication.  We have a hard enough time posting pictures of our parties on our facebook page let alone writing a blog about it.  HA!! Oh well....

In June we were pretty busy with some parties, hopefully over the next few days/weeks we will get some new posts up for you.

I have had the privilege of watching Amelia grow up.  She is now 11 and I have babysat her and her 5 year old sister since Amelia was 6 months old.  She is an amazing, talented, loving person.  She is on a swim team swimming against kids older then her.  I love her dearly and when her mom asked me to help her set up Amelia's schools 5th grade promotion ceremony...I jumped at the chance.  Sadly the promotion was on a Tuesday and my partner in crime Liz had to work. The theme was fun in the sun... Hope you enjoy the pictures

Shipping Out 1st Birthday Supplies

A while back a dear friend of ours from high school asked if Liz and I would create a party package for her daughters 1st birthday and ship them to her in Sacramento.   Of course we jumped on the chance to help her out.  She sent me a picture of the plates and cups that she already purchased and asked if we could come up with some ideas based on her color schemes.  We made a happy birthday sign and banner, cup cake picks, food tags that she filled in, a banner for her sweet shop dessert bar, and we customized a banner for her to add pictures of her daughters first year.  She did an amazing job decorating for the party and we were fortunate enough for her to send us some pictures of her event.

Happy Birthday Banner, The cupcakes with the red fuzzy cherry is my favorite part!

Sometimes we have our own parties

Obviously Liz and I love planning parties, so much so that we will make any excuse to have a get together.  We are pretty fortunate that our husbands enjoy entertaining as much as we do. A while back I bought an In Home Wine Tasting from Living Social.  I was pretty excited when I scored this deal that I immediately began planning the menu.  I talked to a few of my wine connoisseurs, since I am most definitely not one. Ha! Anyways, they helped me figure out what cheeses, fruits, and nuts to pair with the wines that were being brought to my condo.  After 2 days of prepping and a lopsided homemade cake, I was pretty happy with my food spread.  The Wine consultant even called me a gourmet chef, HA!!! She must not get out that much.  Jk.  Here are some pictures of our fun night in.

This is the cheese, nut, and fruit, table.

The cake plates featured on this table can also be purchased here

Of course the boys were the first ones to hit up the food table

Our Party Favors

I found these glass tags at Cost Plus, aren't they so convenient to be able to tell whose glass is whose?!?!

And I will end this post with a picture of me and my girls
